Realized as a frame construction, the building project was conceived to be an extension of the existing building stock for fitted kitchens. On the second level, a gallery is established from which the customers have a great view over the open furniture exhibition.

 

The bearing frame construction is made up of punched, bent steel girders. These rest on round concrete corbels with conic steel supports. An extensive, inserted concrete ceiling is used as a “gallery”.

 

The bearing substructure for the roofing is made of binders, carrying profiled steel sheeting with applied insulation and vapour barriers. On top, the upper roof covering is consisting of titanium sheeting with integrated dome-lights, providing smoke- and heat removal.

 

The perforated steel sheeting is assuring convenient ambient acoustics. To present an amply exhibition space, we recommended a very high jamb/bar-construction. Alternately, fair faced brickwork and steel sheets freshen up large surfaces.

For climate control of the mutable exhibition space, a hot air-heating system is installed.
