Modification of Villa Monte Rosa in Baden-Baden, Germany
Building specificationAt the beginning of remodelling, all wooden-beam-ceilings were dismantled and replaced with steel-beams in combination with self-supporting PecaFil displacing elements.
Some dry rot-afflicted wall connectors had to be replaced as well. Unfortunately, some historic stucco ceilings in the ground floor area could not be saved due to ceiling exchange. Concerning the building-services, the house was equipped completely new, e.g. heating system, including all piping, drinking-water-system and electrical equipment with LNC (Low-Noise-Converter technology) was built in.
All the rooms got a floor heating. The building was equipped with an elevator for all four floors. The baths in the basement was reconstructed and equipped with up to date-technology. In addition, showers, a steam bath, sauna and a Jacuzzi were installed in the basement.
Living spaces were equipped with stucco-elements, the new ceilings in the ground floor area were also equipped with new stucco ornaments, following the designs of the former stucco-decor.
The old library on the ground floor was completely dismounted, fully restored and build in again. |
